Elaaf Dynamics streamlines business processes with Sage enterprise solutions

2015 sees 80% rise in use of business IT solutions as sales exceed AED 17bn

Dubai - Sage Middle East, the leading provider of business management software, has received a fresh vote of confidence following the recent implementation of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution Sage 300 by Elaaf Dynamics Ltd., a UAE-based oilfield services company.

Elaaf Dynamics, a leading provider of oil field exploration and drilling services, was looking for a single, effective solution to manage its business processes in the areas of finance, procurement, sales and inventory management. The company made the decision to migrate to the Sage 300 ERP following the need for timely and accurate business management software tools.

"Prior to investing in the Sage 300 ERP, Elaaf was managing all the information for each of its business processes on a manual Excel system," said Salah Ramadan, Elaaf's CFO. "The Sage ERP 300 gave us a single, integrated platform from which to run our business. We are more than satisfied with the commitment and delivery of the project from idaA ERP Services and look forward to working closely with them on further product implementations in the near future," he continued. Elaaf's decision to switch to Sage was reinforced by its easy-to-use setup and installation processes via Sage's partner idaA ERP Services DWC LLC, who  implemented the system through a structured methodological plan, including an initial scoping of the business processes and individual functions. The tailor-made settings allowed end-users to easily adapt to the new system and to conduct post-release test runs before it went live, thus meeting the company's requirements to streamline operations without the need for extensive customisation. "Elaaf now has one integrated system across business entities, allowing them to process daily transactions and access reports in order to increase the efficiency of its workflow," added Murali Arumugam, Practice Head of idaA ERP Services DWC LLC who provides Sage ERP solutions to customers located in the UAE and Middle East.

Sage's strong market share in ERP solutions comes as the UAE's enterprise IT spending is expected to exceed AED 17 billion in 2015, according to the latest estimates by the International Data Corporation (that's an 80% increase in enterprise solutions usage within the past two years).

Reggie Fernandes, Regional Director of Sage ME, agrees that ERP packages are gaining popularity among businesses in the region due to its ability to be customised to the unique needs of the client. "Any good ERP should be based around a single database within which information from a range of sources is collected, analysed and stored," he said. "Seeing a company like Elaaf Dynamics give such positive feedback about the Sage 300 ERP is reassuring as it showcases the overall efficiency and competence of our products in the UAE market," he added.

Following the success it has achieved with the Sage 300 ERP, Elaaf Dynamics plans to implement additional modules from Sage's enterprise solutions catalogue in the near future, including the hugely popular Sage CRM as well as the Sage HSE Solutions package.
